PROTESI PENIENA TRICOMPONENTE
Le protesi idrauliche sono dei dispositivi più complessi. Sono costituite , oltre che dai due cilindri che si impiantano nei corpi cavernosi, da altri due componenti: un serbatoio che viene impiantato dietro l’ osso pubico ed una pompa che viene collocata nello scroto del paziente. Questi tre componenti (i due cilindri, la pompa ed il serbatoio) sono collegati tramite dei piccoli tubi per formare un impianto idraulico contenente un semplice liquido (soluzione fisiologica), controllato direttamente dal paziente , il quale potrà, ogni volta che lo desidera, far passare il proprio pene da uno stato di flaccidità ad uno stato di erezione completa e viceversa. Premendo un tasto a livello della pompa posizionata all’ interno del proprio scroto, il paziente farà passare il liquido dal serbatoio collocato dietro l’ osso pubico dentro i cilindri all’ interno del pene. Riempiendosi di liquido, i cilindri si gonfiano determinando una erezione totale del pene che potrà essere mantenuta per tutto il tempo desiderato. Premendo un altro apposito tasto a livello della pompa, il paziente potrà far passare nuovamente il liquido dai cilindri al serbatoio, facendo ritornare così il pene allo stato di flaccidità. Il funzionamento di una protesi idraulica è facilmente comprensibile osservando l’ illustrazione qui di seguito.
In questo schema illustrativo viene spiegato il funzionamento di una protesi idraulica tri-componente. Premendo un tasto a livello della pompa scrotale, il liquido contenuto nel serbatoio retro pubico fluisce nei cilindri inseriti dentro il pene ottenendo così uno stato di erezione completa. Premendo un altro tasto sempre a livello della pompa, il liquido compie il percorso inverso ed il pene ritorna allo stato di flaccidità.
Dopo l’ intervento di impianto di protesi peniena il pene conserverà una normale sensibilità ,dal momento che le vie nervose non vengono danneggiate. La partner proverà le stesse sensazioni e non si accorgerà neanche della presenza della protesi. Il paziente avrà la stessa eiaculazione che aveva prima dell’ intervento e sarà in grado di raggiungere l’ orgasmo. Verrà conservata la possibilità di concepire un figlio. La protesi sarà completamente invisibile dall’ esterno: nessuna delle sue componenti sarà visibile ad occhio nudo. Le protesi peniene non danno alcun disturbo alla funzione urinaria e sono progettate per durare tutta la vita.
